Golf Deals on Black Friday?

does anyone know any websites/stores that will be offering good deals on black friday based on past experiences, news you’ve heard, ect? I usually shop at tgw.com or edwinwatts.com, but i was just wondering if anyone had anything else. thanks for the help!

Golf Equipment is so personal because of age, dexterity, flexibility and swing speed that no club should be considered unless it fits your needs – Black Friday, Ruby Tuesday or otherwise. What good is a purchase unless it fits you exactly ? You are not going to change clubs as you would underwear, so buy that which will suit you for a few years.

A Turn With The Muse

$21.54

A Turn with the Muse (From Yahweh to Yeshua) is a cleverly, crafted collection of rhyming poems which deals with very famous and also some less well-known but equally interesting stories in the bible. After writing prose and verse for a few decades, the author has certainly reached the level of the old masters. The book makes an interesting read whether one reads it intensely or makes a casual foray into it.For the effective outcome, Dr Martin Haynes was able to draw on his wide classical and medical background.Dr Martin Dec Haynes was born in Barbados. He attended Harrison College and emerged as an Island Scholar in Classical Studies. He went on to study Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He stayed-on to do postgraduate studies and obtain the specialist degree in Surgery. He returned and worked in Trinidad for many years, during which time he felt impelled to write poetry and short stories. He has a publishable manuscript of Puns, a large volume of poems called The Moving Finger which may be out before this one, A Turn With The Muse. There is another big collection of Poems to follow, the working title of which is The Albatross and Other Poems. He tries to play a little golf most days, and spends his time either in Trinidad, Barbados or Florida.

A View from the Red Tees: The Truth about Women and Golf

A View from the Red Tees: The Truth about Women and Golf

$0.99

When Dorothy Langley was growing up, she received sound business advice from her mother. “You had better learn golf if you want to get ahead”. Her father and several highly paid pros then taught her the game. The links have been a pivotal field where business and political agendas are played out. Golf was once a male-dominated game, but today women executives are also shouldering their clubs and making deals on the greens.”What do men golfers expect? To win. To win the game, the business, and the respect of everyone there. Women business golfers thus have fun while men business golfers have ulcers”.Humorous and witty, A View From the Red Tees challenges the stereotypes and discrimination that women still face today. It pokes fun at the man who does not want to be paired up with a woman. It laughs at the golf store sales clerk who greets the woman golfer with the question “Are you looking for something for your husband today?”Celebrating the camaraderie and competition among women who play golf, A View From the Red Tees even recognizes that men who play golf can sometimes be wonderful! (men aren’t always sexist?)An ideal gift for golfers of either sex.

When Annike McKinley of Events Unlimited agrees to organize the Easter fundraising fete for the Land’s End Yacht Club, she is unprepared for the mayhem-and murder-that await. The clubhouse comes complete with a body hanging from the yardarm. Much to the regret of Merit County’s Sheriff Owen Sarkisian, it is not a pirate but a lawyer-one with more enemies than friends, even in his family. While the developers for a proposed golf course try to obtain land that the yacht club had used for collateral on a loan held by the victim, Sarkisian must juggle the murder investigation with his work on continuing jewel robberies.Meanwhile Annike deals with a kayaking scavenger hunt, a silent auction complete with irate caterers, hordes of giant bunnies, plastic eggs with a sinister filling, and a host of other fun-filled activities. Then the body of one of the suspects, dressed as a fuzzy pink Easter Bunny, is found drifting in a canoe with a buttercream egg crammed in its mouth and the fun-and danger-really begin.Readers of Cold Turkey will enjoy meeting up with Annike, Owen and other friends from Upper River Gulch again.

Dave Barry’s Complete Guide to Guys

$13.95

Dave Barry is one funny human. — San Francisco Examiner For thousands of years, women have asked themselves: What is the deal with guys, anyway? What are they thinking? The answer, of course, is: virtually nothing. Deep down inside, guys are extremely shallow. But that has not stopped Dave Barry from writing an entire book about them. If you’re a guy–or if you’re attempting to share a remote control with one–you need this book, because it deals frankly and semi-thoroughly with such important guy issues as: Scratching The role of guys in world history, including the heretofore-unknown relationship between the discovery of North America and golf Why the average guy can remember who won the 1960 World Series, but not necessarily the names of all his children The Noogie Gene Why guys cannot simultaneously think and look at breasts Secret guy orgasm-delaying techniques, including the Margaret Thatcher Method Why guys prefer to believe that there is no such thing as a prostate And much, much more Whether you’re a guy–or attempting to share a bathroom with one–Barry has some wacky words of wisdom for you. — USA Today

Grooves: How Jock Hutchison and His Grooved Clubs Changed Golf History!

Grooves: How Jock Hutchison and His Grooved Clubs Changed Golf History!

$13.08

In the long history of golf there have been many changes to the rules and the approved designs of balls and clubs. Those rules are supposed to keep the game competitive as well as honoring the game’s long tradition. Changes are usually made deliberately and after much debate. Rarely is there a rush to judgment in these matters.Golf’s history has witnessed only three occasions when the grooves on the face of clubs, especially irons, have been challenged and alterations required. The third occasion was January 2010, when “U” shaped grooves were banned from USGA- and PGA-sanctioned events. The second time “U” shaped grooves were challenged was in 1986. Attempts to determine if that type of groove design gave its users an advantage over those who use the traditional “V” shaped grooves proved inconclusive. As detailed in this book, that challenge ended without a ban and permitted use of both club designs. This book deals with the very first groove controversy in the long history of golf. It involved clubs used by professional golfer Jock Hutchison, who pioneered the use of grooved clubs. He became one of the top professional golfers of his era, even being named as one of America’s golfing triumvirate. At the peak of his career, Jock set record scores from St. Andrews, Scotland, to America’s golfing circuit. During his heyday, on his first attempt, he became the first American to win the British Open. The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews banned his grooved club design one week after Jock won the Claret Jug.

His Father's Son: Earl and Tiger Woods

His Father’s Son: Earl and Tiger Woods

$0.99

A revealing and intimate biography of the man who influenced Tiger Woods the most-his father, Earl Woods. From the time he entered the public consciousness as a two-year-old golf prodigy on The Mike Douglas Show, Eldrick "Tiger" Woods has often seemed to be not much more than a ball-striking machine- reinforced by his carefully guarded image and emotionless persona. Learning From the Links: Mastering Management Using Lessons from Golf

Learning From the Links: Mastering Management Using Lessons from Golf

$13.99

For the first time, a seasoned business executive and avid golfer combines these two passions to explore what makes for top performance in each field. Management consultant David K. Hurst explores compelling links relating the two activities to explain clearly what every manager who plays golf may feel only intuitively: that there is a deep systemic connection between them. For on the tee, as in the boardroom, a player can’t just hit and hope — he or she must continually think ahead, contemplate multiple scenarios, and consider the downside of every decision. And then everything depends on execution. In Learning from the Links, Hurst clarifies muddled thinking in both management and golf: he deals squarely with the challenge of implementing a game plan and seeing it through. Hurst takes to task the current “head-down” instructional model used to teach golf and management. He addresses the huge gulf between knowing what to do in a given situation and knowing how to do it. This chasm is an ever-present hazard both on the course and in an organization: it keeps people from solving their problems and achieving their goals. By examining golfers’ and managers’ struggles for improvement, Hurst shows us why complex systems are so hard to change and how to set about changing them — systematically. Using the latest thinking from fields as diverse as neuroscience, artificial intelligence, art, and anthropology, Hurst’s primary purpose is to help his readers make sense of their own experience — to help them learn more effectively. His practical advice is profusely illustrated with examples from both golf and management, allowing the reader to move back and forth between his or her experiences in both activities. Part business management book, part strategy guide, these are more than just lessons for one’s game or one’s office: these are lessons for life.

Power Play Caiman Titanium Driver – Custom Assembled

$89.95

See what Golf Tips Magazine said about the Caiman Driver: At around a 100 bucks, this club is one of the best deals for a driver you’ll ever find and produces high moi and great ballflight. The inspiration of the unique geometry shape is based on the Amazonian Black Caiman. This powerful beast preys mostly on birdies and eagles and is fearless in devouring the competition on golf courses around the globe. Several iterations of this driver were drafted using CAD software until we were able to optimize the CG location for the best results. The elongated breadth, coupled with internal weighting produces an extremely stable, high moment of inertia design for exceptional raw distance and control off of the tee. Rounding out this design is a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating, creating not only an extremely durable finish, but also providing a lustrous black appearance. The process involves the deposition of titanium carbon nitride under low vacuum conditions. Conforms with USGA Rules. Base price assembled with Power Play Adrenaline Graphite and Karma Black Velvet grip. Comes with FREE Power Play Headcover!

The Beginners Guide To Golf

Dear Beginning Golfer,Are you intimidated when a friend or colleague asks YOU to play a game of golf? Do you suspect that business deals are being made on the course while you hang out in the Club House? Are you ashamed that you don’t know a bunker from a green? Are you wondering what is making everybody so obsessed with this game?Don’t despair – everyone started out just like you. Unfortunately if you’ve come late to the game you may feel your performance will embarrass you in front of your friends (or worse – your boss!). While golf is typically learned by adults you may feel ashamed to admit your lack of skill and prefer to avoid the game altogether. Don’t miss out on the fun and networking enjoyed by golfers…”Get on the Course and Give it a Swing!”But before you do that (and risk embarrassing yourself) why not start out on the right foot with a quick overview of the sport, how it’s played and how to make the right decisions (and shots) that make you look like an old pro?Like any other game rules and skill, and other variables, will affect your performance. Have you ever seen cartoons about a frustrated golfer? Be prepared – golf is as much a mental game as a physical one. Secret tips to control your frustration can give you an immense advantage, even over experienced players who let it get the better of them. What about clubs? Which one is used for which shot? Making smart decisions is what wins the game and that’s why pro golfers have experienced caddies to give them advice on the course – but you don’t have that. An overview of clubs and when to use them will show others you’ve got the know-how!Are you playing for fun or are you trying to fit into the crowd? Many business men and women enjoy networking over a game of golf. This is not the time to let nerves get to you or worry about how to get out of the bunker, what you really need is the…”Beginner’s Guide to Playing

The Warhol Economy: How Fashion, Art, and Music Drive New York City (New Edition)

The Warhol Economy: How Fashion, Art, and Music Drive New York City (New Edition)

$8.5

“Elizabeth Currid’s hip trip through New York’s production of creative culture is a tour de force.”–Quincy Jones, producer”I’ve uttered the words ‘It just kind of happened’ with a shrug hundreds of times when asked about the quick success of my band. Elizabeth Currid blows that lazy response to smithereens by showing the work behind ‘word of mouth.’ I think I’ll have a better answer now.”–Lee Sargent, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah”The old economy made deals over golf games and three-martini lunches. Creative New York organizes its networks around art openings, fashion shows, and nightlife. But these networks are a lot more than fun and games. They are deeply important to how new innovations are produced, how cities work to sustain creativity and turn it into commercial value. Cities drive our economies; creativity drives our cities. With her keen eye, sharp analysis, and detailed fieldwork, Elizabeth Currid shows us why and how. In The Warhol Economy, she has unlocked the best-kept secrets in New York.”–Richard Florida, author of The Rise of the Creative Class”Elizabeth Currid’s The Warhol Economy raises distinctive policy implications: namely, cities will get bigger payoffs by supporting milieu rather than museum. Laws that hurt the clubs are almost as bad as the rising rents that price-out the artists. Tax breaks to corporations make no sense whatever. Currid is more than plausible on all these issues.”–Harvey Molotch, New York University”Elizabeth Currid has written a wonderful book. She shows that the arts and culture are not simply ‘service industries.’ Examining arts and culture in New York for the understanding they provide about deeper changes in our world, Currid addresses fundamental sociological issues while also engaging the general reader–with clarity, insight, humor, and passion. The reader feels taken along to the offices and nightclubs where some of the most creative people in New York gather.”–Terry Clark,

 WhiteTales and CottonTales

WhiteTales and CottonTales

$18.38

White-Tales and Cotton-Tales is a different book. Comical and written much like an ole-fashion southern deer hunt would take place, with hounds in the mix, in hopes of rousing ole-mossy horns. It expresses the fun and, sometimes, dangerous side of scouting an area for deer. Where and why one should place his or her stand. Within the shooting and ballistics theme is a seemingly hard to grasp relationship between bullet flight and gravity. It deals with marksmanship, well markspersonship, ok, ok, markswomanship. As marksmanship or markswomanship is essential with a firearm, so is the same princple essential with photography. Most deer hunting books are serious about how to kill ole-mossy horns. This one is on the comical side. The author does kill deer, however, ole-mossy horns, aw well as his gals, escape to be hunted again. It’s about a time before ATV’s, shooting houses over vast food plots, and the making of commercial hunting videos. It is intended to bring back fond memories of a time in the past. If, after reading this book, you cannot turn into venision, you might as well hang up your firearm and take up golf or something.
