I dont know what golf magazine to get. Golf Digest or Golf Tips?

I ve been getting golf tips and i liked it but i think golf digest may be a better magazine. Tell me what you think?

I think Golf Digest is a better magazine. Not only it supplies useful golf drills and tips from the top teaching and playing professional (butch harmon, hank haney, tiger woods, tom watson and many more), there are alot of news regarding about golfs. If you pick Golf Digest up, you’ll know happenings around the Pga Tour, players’ interviews and tips, fashion, Q&A, junior tournaments, good car and restaurants and many more.

The most glamorous time for fashion in the 20th century–the Jazz Age–shimmers with trademark exuberance in this first-ever compendium of the style of the Art Deco era. From flapper dresses to feathers, fashion exploded during the Roaring ’20s, when clothes became a symbol of a more liberated lifestyle and epitomized the glamour and youthful excitement of the Jazz Age. Hemlines and waistlines slowly crept toward each other as the motto for style–and life–became Anything Goes! In Art Deco Fashion the world of Hollywood and F. Scott Fitzgerald comes to life in images of beaded evening dresses for dancing the Charleston; sporty outfits for golf, tennis, and swimming; and clothes designed for traveling in luxury liners, trains, or in streamlined cars. Accented with posters, photographs, and images from fashion magazines of the era, this sumptuous volume presents a thorough and stunning review of Deco fashion.

 Oglebay Park

Oglebay Park

$19.99

In 1926, Earl Oglebay willed his summer estate, Waddington Farm, to the city of Wheeling with the hope that it would provide entertainment and education to the community. He and naturalist A.B. Brooks, both mavericks in ecology and agricultural training, established the unique environmental emphasis still evident in the park’s nature center, trails, Discovery Lab, and zoo. The 1,650-acre municipal park nestled in the Wheeling hills also features Wilson Lodge, the premier hotel in the area, and 49 log cabins that pay tribute to the community’s storied frontier past. The cabins and the Pine Room Pool were built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Those brave young men, along with a famous golf course architect, Bob Biery, created the Oglebay Caddy Camp, which has been featured in several major golf magazines. Today, Oglebay Park hosts festivals, legendary jazz bands, and top-notch equestrian events. The park’s Winter Festival of Lights is considered to be the nation’s largest light show.

Walter J. Travis (1862-1927) was the most successful amateur golfer in the U. S. during the early 1900s, a noted golf journalist and publisher, an innovator in all aspects of golf, a teacher, and a respected golf course architect. In 1898, he entered his first United States Amateur Championship and lost in the semi-final. Because of his late start in the game, he was respectfully referred to as “The Old Man” or “The Grand Old Man”. Driven by his intense and compulsive dedication to the game, Travis was soon the country’s top amateur golfer, winning the U. S. Amateur Championship in 1900, 1901, and 1903. In 1904, he became the first non-Brit to win the British Amateur Championship. Among his other major victories were three North and South Amateur Championships at Pinehurst, and four Metropolitan Golf Association Championships. He was also a prolific writer who wrote extensively on a variety of golf topics, and was published in the leading sports magazines of the time. His first book, Practical Golf (1901), received rave reviews from The New York Times for its depth, thoroughness, and clarity as a reference book.

THE MAN WHO COULD NOT LOSE

THE MAN WHO COULD NOT LOSE

The Carters had married in haste and refused to repent at leisure. So blindly were they in love, that they considered their marriage their greatest asset. The rest of the world, as represented by mutual friends, considered it the only thing that could be urged against either of them. While single, each had been popular. As a bachelor, young “Champ” Carter had filled his modest place acceptably. Hostesses sought him for dinners and week-end parties, men of his own years, for golf and tennis, and young girls liked him because when he talked to one of them he never talked of himself, or let his eyes wander toward any other girl. He had beenbrought up by a rich father in an expensive way, and the rich father had then died leaving Champneys alone in the world, with no money, and with even a few of his father’s debts. These debts of honor the son, ever since leaving Yale, had been paying off. It had kept him very poor, for Carter had elected to live by his pen, and, though he wrote very carefully and slowly, the editors of the magazines had been equally careful and slow in accepting what he wrote.

 The Windows Of Saint Joseph

The Windows Of Saint Joseph

Autism is a house without doors but sometimes a window is opened. For me that window was religion. Too early in my life I was blessed to perceive religion as it really is, and though in the very depth of my self I knew that “child-abuse” didn’t apply in this case, the images that Islam and the Inquisition evoke in me were almost too horrible to bear. In a word, I was terrified of religion. How little we know what a religious experience really is – even our own. Certainly, after two years of meetings and daily masses, there was no sense of reality that my mind could provide for the content of Catholic doctrines, thereby invalidating them. I had never really noticed what the rules of Catholicism were and what typical Catholics experienced.
